Youth Civic Leaders Summit
March 1-3, 2013
Windermere Conference Center
Roach, Missouri (near Camdenton)

The Youth Civic Leaders Summit is a statewide weekend retreat for young people who are active or aspiring leaders and decision-makers in their communities.
Teams of young people ages 13-18 active with 4-H Councils, Junior/Senior Leaders, Youth EXCEL, regional Youth Summits, County Extension Council youth and adults, and similar programs are encouraged to attend, as well as the adults who support them.
This year's theme is "Oh, the Places You'll Go...With 4-H" with teams of youth and adults converging to learn about leadership and citizenship, celebrate Read Across America Day, and commemorate the 150th anniversary of the land grant university system (Morrill Act).
The Summit offers young people and adults opportunities to showcase youth engagement in communities, learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun with peers from around the state. Weekend highlights include a Team Talent (T2) showcase, outdoor challenge course and recreation, open-space group planning and sharing, and mini-grant awards for implementing team projects.
Join a community of youth and adult leaders who are uniquely prepared and stepping up to the challenges of a complex, changing world!
