Registration Information

To register, please contact the 4-H office in your local MU Extension center, which will be able to provide local deadline and qualification information.  The individuals selected by their counties are typically the top finishers at their county 4-H public speaking contest, but each county may have a different selection process.

The number of speakers counties may send is determined by the competition category:

• Counties may send up to three speakers per division (Junior, Intermediate and Senior) per category for the Prepared, Extemporaneous, and Technology-Assisted categories. 
   

• For the Public Service Announcement category, counties may send up to five competitors per division.
   

• Finally, counties may send up to five competitors per division for each of the Interpretation sub-categories: Dramatic, Humorous, and Pantomime.
   

Questions about the contest may be directed to your 4-H Youth Specialist, or to Bradd Anderson at the 4-H Center for Youth Development.
